These terms govern your use of the Canfy Shopify app. Installing Canfy on your store means you accept them. If you do not accept them, uninstall the app.
They also cover the canfy.app website, where anything here can sensibly
apply to it.
Who you are contracting with
Canfy is operated by Sakinur Rahman, an individual (sole proprietor) based in Jashore, Bangladesh. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean that person, and “you” means the merchant installing the app.
You confirm you are authorised to install apps on, and agree to charges for, the Shopify store you install Canfy on. If you are installing on behalf of a client or employer, you confirm you have their authority to do so.
What the service does
Canfy converts a Canva website you have published into a page on your Shopify store. You give us the Canva URL, we fetch the published design, and we create a Shopify page from it. You can re-import at any time to pull in changes you have made in Canva.
Two things to be clear about:
- Conversion is best-effort, not guaranteed pixel-perfect. Canva and the web are different mediums. We work hard on fidelity, but we do not warrant that every design will convert identically, and some effects may not translate at all.
- The service depends on Shopify and Canva staying available and unchanged. Both are outside our control. If either changes how it works, some features may break or be withdrawn.
Your content and who owns what
Your designs and the pages Canfy produces are yours. We claim no ownership of them.
You confirm you have the rights to everything in the Canva site you import — images, fonts, text, logos, and anything else. That includes making sure the licence you hold for any stock asset or font permits it to be published on your own website.
To provide the service, you grant us a limited licence to copy, store, host and serve those assets from our CDN, and to process the design into a page. It goes no further than running the service for you, and it ends when you delete the page or uninstall the app.
Canfy’s own code, branding and documentation remain ours.
Not affiliated with Canva or Shopify
Canfy is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Canva Pty Ltd or Shopify Inc. “Canva” and “Shopify” are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to describe what Canfy works with.
Billing
All charges are made through the Shopify Billing API and appear on your regular Shopify invoice. We never see or handle your card details.
- Prices are those shown on the Plan page inside the app at the time you subscribe.
- The free trial is 14 days, and is offered once per store. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not reset or resume it — a store that has started a trial before subscribes without one.
- Cancelling during the trial takes effect immediately and you are not charged.
- Cancelling a paid subscription takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for. You keep Premium until then. We do not issue prorated refunds for the unused part of a period.
- We do not charge Shopify development stores.
- Prices may change. We will email the contact address on your Shopify account at least 30 days before a change affects you.
What happens on the Free plan
The Free plan keeps one published page. If you move from Premium to Free and have more than one published page, the extra pages are unpublished and held for 2 days. If you resubscribe within those 2 days, they are restored. After that we release the assets we host for them and they cannot be restored.
Uninstalling
Uninstalling ends your subscription through Shopify automatically.
Your Shopify pages stay in your Shopify admin — they are yours. But the images, fonts and stylesheets we host for them are deleted 14 days after uninstall, so those pages will look broken from that point. Reinstalling within 14 days preserves them.
Acceptable use
You may not use Canfy to publish or process content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that is deceptive or fraudulent.
You also may not:
- Put malware, tracking code, or other abusive code into custom CSS
- Attempt to overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to the conversion service
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or resell the app
- Use the app in a way that degrades the service for other merchants
Availability and support
The service is provided “as is”. We do not offer an uptime SLA and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Support is by email. “Priority support” on the Premium plan means your message is handled ahead of others — it is not a guaranteed response time.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we give no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose.
Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits, lost sales, or lost data.
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from the content you import or publish through Canfy, or from your breach of these terms.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Data
How we handle your data is set out in our App Privacy Policy.
Changes and termination
We may change these terms. For anything material we will email the contact address on your Shopify account before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Canfy after that means you accept the new terms.
We may suspend or terminate your access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, or where the law requires it.
You can terminate at any time by uninstalling the app.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and the courts of Jashore, Bangladesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that gives you the right to bring proceedings locally, this does not take that right away.
